Since April 2014 intensive livestock farmers have had to contend with a number of changes to the Dutch Building Decree. As a result, additional fire safety requirements are being imposed on agricultural buildings.
Solutions from Slaats Asten BV
Slaats Asten has the perfect solution for situations in which a higher fire classification is required: PerVC ventilation ceiling (fire classification BS2D0). The PerVC ventilation ceiling consists of a perforated plastic trapezoidal sheeting panel (1.2 mm) fitted with an 80 mm layer of special glass wool.
The PerVC sheet has all the advantages of plastic (easy to clean, durable, lightweight etc.) in pig housing. It works and is installed in a similar way to a polyester trapezoidal ventilation ceiling.
These sheets are available in all lengths.
As an alternative we also offer perforated aluminium trapezoidal sheeting panels. This system also complies with the fire classification requirements. Less information is available on the life span of aluminium panels in pig housing.
